KERRYPALOOZA!!!!! kerrypalooza Kerrypalooza!

You know, I wanted to come up with a bunch of nice, balanced pro and con responses to Kerry’s conventional-wisdomed candidacy, but when you go through the Left Side of your blogroll to discover that Wonkette’s pointing out the recent activities of Kerry supporter Bob Torricelli and Matthew Yglesias is dourly hoping that since he was wrong about Clark and Dean, he may also be wrong about thinking that Chait may be right about Kerry’s lack of electability, a man has to wonder. If it wasn’t for pandagon, I would’ve started to think at nobody on the Left side of the blogosphere liked Kerry as Kerry.

Which, given that he’s won the last twelve of fourteen primaries, would’ve have been just strange.

  1. Bloggers are weird. The proportion of rightward-leaning bloggers who are sent into apoplexy by the thought of homosexuality is significantly lower than the general rightward population. The filter of being willing to sit at a screen and type all day is a powerful and interesting one.

  2. I wouldn’t call Wonkette “left” — just “snarky”. It’s her thing, and she’s got it working pretty good. It can get a little one-note sometimes, but humor’s like that.
I do think I feel a post coming on about the inadequacy of single-spectrum political axes, though.
