Murderous thugs say the darndest things:
“Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilization.”
“Because of this we desire you (Bush) to be elected.”
That’s it. I’m voting for Bush. I don’t truck with no blasphemers.
(Though you gotta wonder if al Qaeda has now resorted to the terroristic equivalent of reverse psychology. Or perhaps one shouldn’t wonder: This “[France/Uzbekistan/al Qaeda/the Muppets] want X to win” meme has had it’s fifteen minutes, and it’s now time to move on.)
al-Qaeda so sophisticated and diabolical they even understand how to kill a talk news story!
What won’t they stoop to!
Okay, I want Bush to lose and all, but I still declare shenanigans.
No self-respecting terrorist is going to say ‘Candidate X will kill us while we sleep’. Ever.
The closest they would ever come is ‘Candidate X will be a challenge but we will still grind his infidel bones to make our bread’.
I’d say even odds that this “Al Qaeda group” is a nut with a fax machine.
“Their” previous exploits include claiming responsibility for the east coast blackout last August…do we have the new Iraqi information minister on our hands?
Katherine – a lot of us seem to have jumped to the conclusion that the quote comes from alQ, perhaps because it plays to the assumptions of both the right and left…

Well, that and the quotee actually does claim to be affiliated with al-Qaeda.
I’ve been waiting by my fax machine for instructions from Al Qaeda about who to vote for but it hasn’t come yet. That letter must be a fake. With my luck, once it does come, it will probably be written in a foreign language.
Dear VRWC readers:
Please note how the left responds to a supposed letter from an enemy of the US in support of your candidate…with scepticism and dismissal.
Please consider this mature response to claims that Arafat and Kim prefer Kerry.
