As all of you no doubt have seen by now, there was a horrific accident in North Korea today that caused the deaths of at least 3,000 people. The Command Post has provided a link to the North Korean chapter(?) of the International Red Cross; if I encounter a better link I will certainly post it. While the government of North Korea itself appalls me, I am of course saddened by the loss of innocent life; I extend my sympathies to the victims and their families, and call upon the United States government to provide what humanitarian aid it can in this matter.
