Jeebus, but Woody Guthrie must have absolutely loathed Charles Lindbergh. We’re talking “wooden stake through the heart” level, here. What? Oh, I’m listening to the Guthrie Asch Recordings Vol 1 Smithsonian Folkways CD (9307-40100-2) that I picked up as a reward for all that walking and cultural horizons expansion stuff; pretty good, and it almost certainly beats whatever albums the pandas have out right now, so it worked out, nu?
Moe
PS: Really, really, really loathed.
*I am getting around my ‘music from the counterculture only’ rule by declaring here that the Smithsonian Institution is to be henceforth considered to be a countercultural organization – which, compared to the music industry, actually has a certain ring to it. So be it said; so it be done.
Can we have a smidgen of a hint?
I was working on the Red and Blue pills. 🙂
