for surgery (nothing alarming, just repairs.) They tell me I’ll be back after 3-5 days; for a week or so afterwards, if I say anything unusually dumb, just put it down to pain medication. (Normal levels of stupidity are, of course, fair game as always.)
Gentle Readers: Take a lesson from the poor unfortunate who stands, virtually, before you: if you ever have the kind of abdominal surgery where they actually cut you open, say because your appendix is rupturing, and you’re really, really careful for the next eleven months, it would be a mistake to think that enough time has gone by that you can safely plant trees. And even more of a mistake to haul the wet clay generated in the course of said planting down to the woods at the bottom of your garden in a trash can.
Oops.
Have fun and take care.
Ow! Get well.
please take care and don’t push yourself. recovery takes more time than we wish (this from someone who relapsed from mono after getting up too soon).
Take care, hilzoy. Let yourself heal. I blame lifting all those heavy pixels.
Yipe! Feel better soon. 🙁
Ouch. Remember, the days of youthful, superhumanly rapid healing are most likely behind you. Considering you’re doing such things as planting and hauling and such. May the stitches be small and painless, and the post-op medications be effective.
Oh. It’s just internal trauma? I was afraid you had carpal tunnel syndrom or something that would prevent you from blogging. We know now how Edward blogs when he’s in his cups, we are dying to see what you come up with on pain killers. Get well, soon. Just a warning – no laughing. That could hurt. And of course that means – no Fafblog!
