Learn from the Master…

…because this is how you tease Republicans: cheerfully, quickly and with a ready sense of everybody’s absurdity (not just the Other Side’s) firmly in mind*. Sweet Merciful Jeebus and his brother Harry, how I wish that whatever it is that Fafnir has were contagious.

  1. Moe, do you mean “Grr. Arggh.”?
And do you “wish/were” (or /was if you were British) or “hope/is”?
And can you spend more time on ObsWi? Your share of the conservative niche is being occupied of late by a poster or two who don’t in my view add anything to the discussion…

  2. rilkefan, actually, I haven’t been really posting all that much anywhere: revving back up to talking about politics has been harder than it should be. And some of the outside bloggers that vex me so don’t deserve a Grr.
But I did fix the wish/were bit.

  3. Truly good mockery. In fact it’s hard to tell whether he’s poking fun at republicans or at the left-wing stereotype of republicans.

  4. I’m not sure it can be called a “stereotype” when the group in question is exhibiting all those lovely traits right there in living color on live national TV.
Only “girly men” worry about budgets, economies and jobs?
    Austria was a Soviet-occupied state?
And, getting away from the Gropinator for a minute here, what’s up with the Cheney Family? Everyone’s on stage but Mary. Mustn’t put the lesbian up where people can actually, y’know, see her.
C’mon. This is great alt.universe stuff.

  5. “Austria was a Soviet-occupied state?”
A large section of it was, in much the same way that Germany was (four divisions of the country and four sectors of the capital). More reasonably not axe-grinding details here. Gov Schwarzenegger would have been about eight or so when the Soviets left: the man was born in 1947.
