Stan of Logic & Sanity has comprehensive coverage of the terrorist attacks on a Russia school. (Stan speaks Russian, and has been translating some of the local news reports.)
Via Citizen Smash, who has returned from his adventures in blog-hosting and is “reporting for duty.” So to speak.
My 15 mins of fame 🙂
Well, whether it’s fifteen moments or longer, it’s well deserved.
Dammit, Stan, explicitly mention it when you’ve got a blog. I’m notoriously bad at figuring this out on my own. 🙂
That goes for the rest of the Constant Readers, too.
Thanks for the coverage there, Stan. Keep us posted.
No problem. I think my boss is pissed. But f’it. I am underpaid anyway.
Stan’s coverage has been excellent. I’ve linked to his coverage from my own (and I’m in the middle of a bit of a -lanche due to a link from Wretchard).
Thanks!
BTW, Stan, I’ve noticed that Utro.ru has been really good about updating details. Is that what you’ve been seeing as well?
Yes, I provide links for all my new entries and as you can see the majority of them come from utro.ru and gazeta.ru
Its a bit slow with the news right now. The terrorists have not issued any demands, so nothing is going on. I am still updating, though. Keep checking..
Stan:
Yes, I had been reading the same sources as you. You’re so on top of things that I don’t check nearly as often as I was there for a while. 😉 I’ve found the editorials on gazeta.ru interesting. Clearly journalistic conventions remain substantially different there.
Are you a native speaker? I’m school-taught (8 years) and have read Russian poetry, literature, and newspapers for many, many years.
Yep, native russian speaker. Was born and lived in the USSR till the age of 11.
