So in addition to being too popular, too charismatic and too eloquent to be President, Barack Obama is apparently too physically fit as well.  Those are some serious drawbacks. 

If we can confirm that Obama is also exceedingly intelligent, displays good judgment and is competent, this guy’s gonna be downright unelectable. 

[UPDATE: Brad has a point (as well as an appropriate post title): "Obama is skinny" is the new "Michael Moore/Al Gore is fat."  Sure is hard for liberals to find the proper body weight, huh.]

    given P(GOP), choose a fact about the world, F. if, using only the rules of proper grammar, you can describe F in terms of P(GOP), you may have a future as a pundit.

    It’s not an op-ed. And I disagree, it’s pure genius. Exactly the kind of coverage of this campaign that the american public deserves. Kudos to the WSJ for running it.

    I don’t think I can handle another three months of this.

    Other differences between Obama and former presidents appearing on money:
    1.)Obama doesn’t own any slaves. (As far as we know!!!)
    2.)Obama hasn’t tried to wipe out Native Americans.
    3.)Obama hasn’t departed this vale of tears.
    4.)Obama is a pretty handsome guy, what with the non-wooden teeth and all.

    The astute voter she quotes — the only respondent who actually agreed with Chozick’s premise — is an upstanding citizen who calls herself onlinebeerbellygirl. Her response in full:

    Beyond that, Chozick’s journalistic techniques seems to include failing to credit McCain campaign memos when she’s essentially quoting them verbatim. McCain campaign manager Rick Davis a couple of days ago:
    “…Only celebrities like Barack Obama go to the gym three times a day, demand ‘MET-RX chocolate roasted-peanut protein bars and bottles of a hard-to-find organic brew — Black Forest Berry Honest Tea’ and worry about the price of arugula.”
    Chozick today:
    These days he stays away from junk food and instead snacks on MET-Rx chocolate roasted-peanut protein bars and drinks Black Forest Berry Honest Tea, a healthy organic brew.

    Nice to see that McMaverick’s base is back on message.

  21. Hard to find? They carry it at Sheetz gas stations around here (Frederick, MD) and at the Giant and Bloom supermarkets. And this isn’t exactly hippieville or anything. Anthraxville, maybe. I had to dodge reporters again on my way to work this morning.

    OK, if they are declaring a War On Tea then that’s IT for me. This is the last straw. Those SOB’s are officially Enemies Of The People.
    First they came for the smokers, but I don’t smoke so I did not speak out.
    Then they came for the alcoholics, but I’m not a drunk so I did not speak out.
    Then they came for the trans-fatty acid and junk food snackers, but I was neither, so I did not speak out.
    And when they came for the tea drinkers, there was no one left to speak out for me.
