Well duh! 🙂
I think I’ll be nominated for best series for the extraordinary rendition stuff, too. (as you just need one vote to get nominated IIRC).
There has to be a more efficient way to vote than this.
Do they have a way of sorting the provisional and non-provisional ballots?
🙂
Oh hey, in return for my vote, maybe you’ll let me place a small advertisement here for the New Yorkers in the audience — my brother’s group, the Turtle Island String Quartet, is going to be playing at SymphonySpace on Friday, Jan 13 (together with the Ying Quartet, whom I’ve never heard). If you’re interested in string jazz, check it out. And if you do, let me know, maybe we can meet up.
D’oh! I meant Jan 14th. Fine promoter I am.
Let this be the “Shameless Promotion Thread”
Hey, my company is matching employee donations to tsunami relief 2 to 1. Hmm not a very good promotion when I won’t tell you who that is. Oh well, my mom always said I was bad at marketing.
Hmm, my volleyball team for the past 2 years is named Tsunami. That might be a poor choice for a while.
my brother’s group, the Turtle Island String Quartet
Wow, tell your brother that I love the group and if they ever come to Japan, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I know that is highly unlikely as I’m in Kyushu, away from Tokyo and Osaka, but stranger things have happened.
I’ll let him know, LJ. They do a lot of European gigs, but I don’t recall them ever going any farther afield. But hey, there’s always a first time.
Thanks for the reminder. I voted for this blog on the group category, Informed Comment on the single-issue category, and Making Light on the general category.
