First there were reports from Iran, but those were easy to dismiss. Now however, there are reports from Mexico: and all of a sudden I’m wondering where M Night Shyamalan has been for the past few months.
A Defense Department spokesman confirmed Tuesday that the videotape was filmed by members of the Mexican Air Force. The spokesman declined to comment further and spoke on customary condition of anonymity.
The video was first aired on national television Monday night then again at a news conference Tuesday by Jaime Maussan, a Mexican investigator who has dedicated the past 10 years to studying UFOs.
“This is historic news,” Maussan told reporters. “Hundreds of videos (of UFOs) exist, but none had the backing of the armed forces of any country. … The armed forces don’t perpetuate frauds.”
Of course, my first thought is that if these are real, they’re most likely some new top secret US aircraft, but perhaps, just perhaps they are doing reconnaissance.
UPDATE: Just in case it’s not obvious: ;-}
“The plane’s captain, Maj. Magdaleno Castanon, said the military jets chased the lights ‘and I believe they could feel we were pursuing them.'”
Or, possibly, had instruments. But it sounds so much more emotional if they do it via feeling.
“When the jets stopped following the objects, they disappeared, he said.”
And the alleged jets stopped following the alleged objects, why?
“The video was first aired on national television Monday night then again at a news conference Tuesday by Jaime Maussan, a Mexican investigator who has dedicated the past 10 years to studying UFOs.”
That certainly makes him reliable, and utterly unlike every other delusional nutcase on the issue.
In other words: blah, blah, blah, blah.
Of course, I could be wrong, and not think that anyone who posts this is gullible. The Galactic Federation will correct me shortly. That will be a better outcome.
Really. (Except for the military invasion version.)
The US recon part is a likely suggestion, of course, and I shouldn’t have suggested you were buying into the idiot version by posting it, Edward; I apologize for that; you were joking. But lights in the sky are easy to see even when lesser objects are involved.
“The armed forces don’t perpetuate frauds.”
Heh.
They’ve come to give economic assistance and literary programs to corrupt third world governments.
Or perhaps they were trafficking Romulan ale to Tijuana?
I make light of the matter not because I don’t believe that some objects are definitely unidentified objects (which I do), but rather at the conclusions folks can make just because an object is unidentified and does not conform to their established recognition parameters.
Or perhaps they were trafficking Romulan ale to Tijuana?
More likely they are trafficking from Tijuana.
Come on, guys…
Emergency Haiku (w/o politics)….
Why can’t we have something extraterrestrial to possibly unite the blues and reds for a bit?
Well, now that I think of it, I’m sure there would be a “let’s nuke um” party and a “let’s talk nice” party, so maybe it won’t work.
heh
