First it was Wonkette and creating ‘personalized’ campaign posters at the Bush web site, now it’s Wizbang and putting up ‘personalized’ web pages at the Kerry campaign site. Can’t we all just get along?
Although I do have to wonder whether or not the Kerry campaign people talk to, well, anybody online. I would have told them in a heartbeat, “Look what happened to the Sloganator, dude. Ask yourself, is all publicity really good publicity? Is it really so bad to make people register before they can use this? You are checking emails, right?” They’re not.

UPDATE: Well, that was quick: they’ve fiddling with it. Also… geez, Wonkette, it wasn’t as if your own Sloganator campaign hadn’t been squeezed for every last drop of humor before the end. Thin skins and blogging don’t mix at your level of daily traffic* – especially when you yourself dish it out, in that way that you do so well.
*Sure, I’m jealous of said traffic, but that doesn’t make me necessarily wrong.
Meanwhile, in Iraq, everything is falling to pieces.
Even if that statement’s true, praktike, the situation is unlikely to be altered either by people pranking official campaign sites (if it can, then I’m going to have to blame Wonkette for fueling the insurgency last month) or bloggers looking to provide their readers with something other than Iraqi news this weekend.
True. Distract thyself if you must.
I find I cannot concentrate on anything but.
