…you see, The Department of Louise has a post up about a possible further delay in the 9/11 report until after the election. While I’m pretty sure that Opus herself isn’t grinding an axe on this one – she just wants the facts on what the Hell happened – it’s one of those situations where the administration is going to get flack no matter when the report comes out, as this possible delay came after protests that the original report was coming out too soon. First May, then July, then possibly August, and now Congress is saying January. I suspect, myself, that the 9/11 report is going to resemble this article a lot, which is why I’m linking to it again. DoL has comments, and she’d probably enjoy the company: check it out.
(pause)
Oh, I wasn’t conflicted about any of the above. The problem was that I want to blog about the post that she wrote right before that (the Pile On at DailyKos one) – specifically, the discussion/meltdown that she had linked to – but I’m not precisely the most objective observer you could find for that particular situation. Check it out for yourself, by all means; I’m going to be a good boy and refrain from further commentary and/or snark.
I admire your restraint!
And thanks for the link to TWS article: I hadn’t seen it before now. I’ll have to blog on it at some point, but I’m bleary-eyed as it is, so off to bed…
That was quite the pile-on over at Kos.
I don’t think Terry McAuliffe is quite the disaster many over at Kos think he is, the 2002 elections aside. But there are a lot of Democrats who are pissed off at George Bush and the 21st Century version of the GOP, and their anger tends to spill over at a lot of peripheral targets.
The DNC’s challenge now is to channel that anger into voter turnout in November. I hope Howard Dean puts his understandable disappointment aside and helps to rally the troops.
OT (if lightly related to 9/11) – lack of action on Nunn-Lugar problems – somebody here rides this hobby horse with me.
I’ll take anything over apathy.
Okay, not anything.
But people running around calling McAuliffe a greasy heifer and what not, while funny, is a huge improvement over people not knowing who the hell Terry McAuliffe is.
