A Third Blog on Von’s Blogroll!

You’re a casual reader of the site. You take a look at the blogroll. The mutual roll seems solid, noncontroversial. You got your standard ‘pundits (Insta and Cal), your even-steven Tac, a little Sully and TPM, the Kos and the Volohks, and a few other worthies. Moe’s and Katherine’s rolls are also solid — solid right and solid left, that is (Marxists aside). And, although the Commentator and Backscratch rolls whiff of a bit of link-desperation on our part, each contains more than a few must reads.

And then there’s my blog roll. Two blogs: the hard-right (but civilized) Paul Cella and the lefty-leaning Ubaid. Well, world, get ready for a third: The blog that introduced me to blogging, Swordstyle. Run by an old friend mostly for other old friends, he has consented to an appearance. And so he will — as soon as I can figure out how to do it.

  1. Eaghh. I really do think that even controlling for my political preferences, Marshall outclasses Sullivan easily, and Instapundit and Calpundit aren’t even close.
Also: Drezner and Maguire are right of center, and Campaign Desk is not partisan. But there’s no doubt my list leans left.

  2. It is all a bit of a tangled skein, isn’t it? Especially mine, although I do read most of the sites on it on a semi-regular basis. Wish that TypePad would let me alphabetize…

Hey! It does, now! Nice of them to not tell me…

  3. von, I visited Swordswallower or Swordstyle or whatever and with all due respect to your friend, Obsidian Wings far outclasses. Maybe I hit him on a bad day. Maybe I have weird tastes. But, dude. Other than the cat…And no, I am not Swedish.

  4. See, that’s why I liked being on Moe’s blogroll at a time when I hadn’t even really heard of von and Katherine — if there’s any hobby more true to my heart than political carping, it’s throwing a wrench into things.

  5. swordstyle wasnt exactly set up to debate hot topics and such. the guy who set it up ment for it to be a means for a bunch of people that at one time lived in chicago to keep in touch with each other now that everyone has scattered.
those of us interested in arguing politics tend to wander over here or to tacitus.

Yeah, it ain’t intended to be a serious blog . . . . yet. I think, though, that its reclusive swordstyle master maybe changing gears a bit.

  7. How about an RSS feed? Even the lowly Swordstyle syndicates in RSS 1.0….
Peppers, even if this level of techno-speak is beyond me. So allow me to respond, at my own level:
    Huh?
Understand, I’m still trying to figure out how to use Moe’s password to get you added. And that’s supposed to be easy.
