Finally, someone is taking my advice:
The White House began to back away on Monday from its assertions that Iraq had illegal weapons, saying it now wanted to compare prewar intelligence assessments with what may be actually found there.
Grasp that nettle, baby — grasp it with both hands!
Title from that The White Stripes — the band everyone loves to hate.
i like the white stripes.
Fafnir, are you loco in the coco?
Well, as long as it’s grasped firmly, it probably won’t stick him very bad… it’s when you grasp a nettle gingerly that you get stuck worst.
i like the white stripes.
(Taking off critical poseur hat.)
I do too. (Nice of you to drop by, Jack.)
Well, as long as it’s grasped firmly, it probably won’t stick him very bad.
Yup, that’s the way to do it.
It hurts regardless, and the ‘political arm’ of the White House seems to be exceedingly delicate to such things. That’s the weirdest thing about this administration. . the simultaneous demand that it’s strong and unbeatable beside the extreme pussyfooting around every issue and the total inability to take an admitted blow.
I think the Clinton years were a wake-up call to every politician. Anyone can be destroyed, so keep your armor thick.
