Not Blister Gas.

In an update to this post, Reuters is reporting that the Danish army has checked out the mortar rounds foundl initial tests have determined them to be not chemical gas rounds. We’ll get them next for followup tests, but I doubt that this finding will be reversed.

End result, updated? Again, nothing much in regards to the debate. Some people will seize upon this, some people will roll their eyes, our intelligent and thoughtful readers will continue to argue the issues in a seemly fashion and I’ll keep sucking up for bloglinks.

  1. I love it how war bloggers ignored this blister agent story, so, as not to get caught in another gotcha. Remeber that botulinum that turned out to be harmless?

(raised eyebrow) This claim of yours of telepathy astounds me, especially as you’re exhibiting it in the comments section of an update to a post about the alleged finding of blister gas. Most enlightening. 🙂

  3. Come off it, Moe: there have been so many triumphant posts from warbloggers claiming “So this is it! We’ve found WMD! Eat crow, you peaceniks!” that I was startled to realize, with the discovery of these warheads, that even the most boneheaded warbloggers had finally got tired of the endless “Cry wolf!” syndrome. Of course, the rest of got tired of it a long time ago.
Noting that warheads have been found and are to be tested is a little different from the triumphant cackle we’ve heard so often, and so with so little cause.
