I, and the Washington Times, have misrepresented the Club for Growth
. According to this LA Times article (free registration required), Dean not content to sip lattes (he actually doesn’t drink coffee which is much more disturbing), read the NY Times, drive a Volvo (actually a Jeep–again, much worse in my eyes but it is snowy up there in SushiLand so I can forgive him), love Hollywood, and be a freak show, is into “body piercing”.
Yes, body piercing.
I can’t even figure out where they’re going with this one. Is it supposed to evoke Christopher Street, gay marriage, etc.?
Dean is for body piercing?
Well, that sews up my vote right there. :>
</sarcasm>
“I can’t even figure out where they’re going with this one. Is it supposed to evoke Christopher Street, gay marriage, etc.?”
Quite. Also San Francisco, and, in general, not “the heartland.” It’s just not Christian, it’s just not us, sez they.
The day that the Republicans realize that being anti-sex, whatever its form, is a loser , may be the day of doom for the Democrats. Not that the Democrats are good at being pro. Being neutral versus being anti wins, though. Most places.
Reminds me of the days when Buchanan called the Chinese leadership a bunch of 80-year old chain-smoking communist dwarves. And we know where Buchanan’s campaign ended up.
At least the Club for Growth isn’t comparing Dean to Stalin, right?
Here’s a video of the ad in Windows Media Player, or go to http://www.clubforgrowth.org for a Real Player version. Personally, I would’ve stopped at the ‘freak show’ part.
The day that the Republicans realize that being anti-sex, whatever its form…[Snipped, because the rest was even more silly]
Good grief, Farber. Are there any other ridiculous stereotypes you are holding near and dear?

I seem to remember this one episode of Real Time with Bill Maher. He has Ann Coulter as a panelist on his show a lot, and one time she went off on this nonsensical tirade about how “studies show” that all liberals have joyless sex.
My range of responses probably do not bear printing.
No, idiocy like that deserves whatever it gets. But over-generalization is its own brand of idiocy that also deserves whatever it gets.
Dean doesn’t drink coffee? I guess that makes two of us in the whole country.
