They’ve chosen the design. Times article here, and you can view some of the images here (note that those don’t reflect a recent re-design to conform to Libeskind’s plan–the new design will be unveiled next week). It will probably be impossible to do this right, and even more impossible to please everyone, especially this soon after. But this was my favorite of the finalists, after both a quick browse through the website and a look at the display in the World Financial Center a few months later. Hopefully the re-design only improved it.
